Business trip Look at the people working in your office. What joins them as colleagues? The same room? The same sphere of activity? Common goals? Yes, these are some of the things uniting people working in the same company; but if you expect productive teamwork, there must also be things underlying the material level. An essential condition for efficient teamwork is healthy communication.

But then a few more questions arise: what is meant by healthy communication, how can it improve your business and how is it achieved?

Healthy communication is the kind of relationship where people understand and support each other, respect each other’s opinion, acknowledge and value each other’s skills and abilities. These skills are the basis of harmonious interpersonal relationships.

Healthy communication at work ensures psychological wellness of individuals, which inspires them for new quests and achievements, maintains the sense of belonging, etc. In short, the way people communicate with each other greatly influences the level of their motivation, the ability to efficiently work together and a general feeling of self-realization and contentment.

There may be different barriers for developing good relationships among co-workers and business partners, but there is one good way to energize the team spirit and ‘break the ice’ in the group – FUN. Shared fun and enjoyment enlivens the formal business relationships and allows people relax. Feeling relaxed and happy ourselves, we become more tolerant to the people we work with. To quote Oscar Wilde: “laughter is not a bad beginning for a friendship” (though he most probably underestimates here). So why not mix business with fun to encourage friendlier relationships among your employees or colleagues on a business trip?

Combining business and leisure activities within the same trip provides a chance to enjoy some holiday fun at the same time. An amusement-packed weekend in an unofficial milieu allows for informal communication, shared adventure and various discoveries: spiritual and those of new, yet unseen places.

A cultural event, party, or a challenging pursuit as an addition to your business trip will be an ideal opportunity to show recognition to your most excellent sales people, entertain your best (or perspective) clients or simply integrate camaraderie and fun on or after your meeting day.

Whatever the idea for the weekend following your business meetingcorporate entertainment, adventure team building, or employee incentive – and no matter what kind of activity you are looking for – cycling, quad biking, clay pigeon shooting, hot air ballooning, or acrobatic flights, – you can find it all in Lithuania.

Gift your valued employees and clients fun, and let the boomerang return to you in the shape of a yet greater success.
