Corporate party Planning a memorable, smooth-running corporate party means putting some effort in it. If you want to have an interesting party, but don’t have experience, the following guidelines may be of help.

The first step is thinking of a theme. The eating-drinking-dancing scenario is just boring. A theme will add more fun. The underlying goal of corporate parties is communication and team building. If you want to encourage communication among participants, choose a theme with a scenario involving them in games, competitions or common goal-oriented activities. Let the shy employees show what they can instead of just staying passive observers.
An essential fun party ingredient is humour. It should be present in every theme.

To create a really extra-ordinary experience, the theme should not coincide with the company’s sphere of activity, and the roles with the participants’ responsibilities at work. The choice of the theme also depends on the occasion. If it is a Christmas party, the traditional things such as Santa Claus, Christmas tree, gifts and fire-works are out of question, and the theme will have to be somehow or other related with the occasion; but all the rest depends on your interpretations.

The culmination point adds excitement to a party, so think how you can create it. If it is, say, a UFO themed party, it may be a flying-saucer landing or it may be an enemy attack in a medieval knight tournament themed event.

When the theme is chosen, there comes the time for its implementation. Beside the costumes, decorations, music, food and drinks, you may use fire-works, a ball-pool, trampoline, soap bubbles and other coloured or sparkling things to strengthen the feeling of celebration and add playfulness.

Whether you choose professional assistance or planning the party on your own, it depends on the party budget, your expectations, time foreseen for preparation, the needed equipment and many other factors.

Needless to say, organising a party on your own is cheaper. On the other hand, it costs more nerves; because of the lack of experience, even the smallest things may spoil the festive atmosphere. In case you have decided to arrange a corporate party yourself, professional advice can still be useful.

At the moment, a wide choice of such services is available in Lithuania, starting from the idea and ending with equipment articles. Why not rent the biggest grill in Lithuania? Or what about a submarine towed on snow?

Finally, if you have decided to ask for professional assistance in corporate party planning, express your ideas and desires to event planners. Co-operation will assure results better matching (or even exceeding) your expectations.
