The ‘philosophy’ of corporate entertainment business is based on the belief (and evidence) that the entertainment element is very important to establish and maintain effective internal and external communication and relationships for the benefit of the organisation.
Corporate entertainment includes various forms of entertainment and may be targeted at different audiences such as company employees, business partners, clients, official guests and so on.
One of the most common forms of corporate entertainment is corporate fun days given as a reward for staff for their work efforts and allowing them a chance to unwind and have fun at outdoor or indoor activities. It is assumed that relationships between co-workers benefit from the shared experience.
Fun days are often the same as team building events as they may have an emphasis on team training. The activities range from, say, cooking to white-water rafting, which are aimed at developing teamwork skills and creating team identity.

Meanwhile energizers, which may be brief exercises or performances intervening the event, increase attendee energy levels and keep them awake by providing a psychological boost and mental break. Invigorating meeting ‘openers’ and ‘closers’ also break the ice, create a relaxed and positive atmosphere, and draw people together.
A growing demand for corporate entertainment services may be associated with the need to build strong, long-term relationships in a rapidly changing corporate environment. The element of fun, often in an informal setting, affords for a relaxed interaction and getting to know each other on the personal level; corporate entertainment such as corporate fun days reveals the human side of participants; meanwhile shared exciting and memorable experiences break the ice and unite people. On the whole, the entertainment element increases the likelihood of corporate success in that it helps to build more personalized business and work relationships.
