Klaipeda-Palanga-Klaipeda (2-day tour, approx 88 km/ 55 miles)

Your route starts in the port of Klaipeda near the 13th century German-founded Memelburg Castle and onwards through the Giruliai Forest and the Coastal Regional Park. After crossing a former Soviet military polygon, you will reach the historical border between the German Reich and the Russian Empire, followed by a visit to the lively resort town of Palanga where you will stay overnight.
Day 2. Before returning to Klaipeda, you will explore the delightful areas around Palanga such as Plaze Lake, the Botanical Park and Amber Museum and the beautiful St Mary church. This trip is perfect for spending the weekend in pleasant company and combining exploration with gentle exercise.

Klaipeda–Juodkrante–Nida–Juodkrante–Klaipeda (3-day tour, approx 55 km/35 miles)

Day 1. Begin your ride in the port of Klaipeda near the 13th century German-founded Memelburg Castle. Riding south along the coast will bring you to the Curonian Spit National Park where you can explore beautiful pine forests, magnificent unspoilt bays and sand dunes reminiscent of the Sahara. Return from Nida to Klaipeda will be by boat with a short stop in Juodkrante.
Overnight stay in Juodkrante (1 night) and Nida (1 or 2 nights).
Day 2 and 3. The following two days will be spent exploring some of Lithuania’s most spectacular sights and attractions. There are over 50 km of picturesque sandy beaches; a visit to the Smiltyne Dolphinarium and Klaipėda Sea Museum are highly recommended. Bird lovers can observe colonies of grey herons and cormorants in Juodkrante and then visit the Great Dune of Parnidis and the Dead Dunes. The Thomas Mann House and Museum, the Lutheran church in Nida, the Mizgiris Amber Gallery and Museum, and the ancient Curonian cemetery are just a few of the other recommended places to see. There is definitely no shortage of sights on this trip.

One-day bicycle trip

During this ride you will be able to enjoy the beautiful views of the Rambynas Regional Park. The total length of the route is just over 33 kilometres with some of the route going off-road onto forest track. The trip will also take in a visit to the Bitenai Architecture Reserve and the Rambynas Hill.
