Botox is a shortened name given to botulinum toxin. In its natural form, botulinum toxin is actually a poison. However, doctors have isolated and transformed it into a paralysis agent. Injected into the small facial muscles, it stops their contractions and thus eliminates wrinkles. Affected by botulinum toxin, the muscle cannot contract. The filler is mostly used to eliminate expression wrinkles.
Botulinum toxin preparations have been used in medicine for a long time. However, they have been used in neurology to reduce muscle spasms. The filler corrects nose-bridge and naso-labial folds as well as wrinkles around the lips. This filler is also used in lip augmentation or highlighting the lip contour. The preparation is based on the hyaluronic acid, which is the main skin moisturizing substance. Collagen, which is produced after the injection, fills in the wrinkle and smoothes it out. A MEATRDEX injection is not complicated and a pain-free procedure that is performed by a surgeon on an outpatient basis. The effect is visible immediately after the procedure, although the injected area may swell for a few days. The preparation does not contain any proteins that are foreign to the human body, so there is little possibility of allergic reactions.
