Female genital is surgery is performed to improve a woman’s genitalia and increase her self-confidence. Visible defects of the labia majora (outer lips) or, more commonly, labia minora (inner lips) may cause embarrassment about the appearance of genitalia. An aging woman may not like the descent of her pubic hair and labia. A large pubic fat deposit may be unsightly. Such defects or changes can be successfully corrected surgically.

Labia Minora (Inner Lips) Reduction
Labia minora reduction is a procedure done on women who are dissatisfied with the large size of their labia minora, which may make them feel self-conscious with a sexual partner or uncomfortable in tight pants, while doing sports, or during sexual intercourse. Some females are born with protruding labia minora and thus choose to have labiaplasty; while others develop the enlargement with age or after child-birth.
The labia minora reduction surgery is relatively minor and is not very uncomfortable. General anaesthesia is normally used, but sedation with local anaesthesia is possible. Complications associated with the surgery are very rare. If your job is relatively sedate, you can most likely come back to work in 5 days. You can continue sexual relations in about 6 weeks following a labia reduction.
If the surgery is necessary to reduce any discomfort, the labiaplasty surgery may be covered by insurance.

Clitoropexy / Clitoral Hood Reduction
If desired, redundant skin protruding from the clitoral area can be surgically eliminated. During the operation, the protruding clitoris is repositioned and the length and projection of the clitoral hood is reduced.

Clitoral Reduction
Due to hormonal abnormalities or other reasons, women may have an enlarged clitoris, which may be unsightly and uncomfortable. The head of the clitoris can be surgically reduced in size while preserving sensitivity. The surgery is done on an outpatient basis.

The outer lips of the vagina may be larger than normally due to excess skin and tissue. Enlarged labia majora cause a bulge in pants or swimsuits, making a woman feel embarrassed. The outer lips of the vagina may be enlarged innately, after childbirth, or as a result of aging.
This surgery is also minor and takes about an hour and a half. The labia majora reduction is not very uncomfortable. Labia Majora Fat Injections to Increase the Fullness of the Outer Lips of the Vagina
Due to aging, weight loss, or heredity the youthful fullness of the labia majora may be lost. This loss is without difficulty corrected by injecting fat taken from another region of the body. The procedure takes about an hour and is usually performed under sedation with local anaesthesia. It can be done alone or combined with another procedure. Patients can resume sexual relations in about 2 weeks.

Pubic Liposuction and Lift
A woman may have unattractive fat deposits in her pubic area, which causes a bulge in clothes. The fat may have been present since birth or accumulated with weight gain or during puberty. Usually this deposit can be removed by liposuction. Due to age or weight gain, the pubic and vaginal areas may descend, causing an aged appearance. These regions can be made younger and lifted by moving redundant skin above the pubic hair and eliminating excess fat in the pubic region. The pubic liposuction and pubic lift procedure may be performed in conjunction with a tummy tuck.

Reconstruction of the Vagina and External Genitalia Deformities
Sometimes women have defects of the external genitalia. These defects may be from cancer surgery, birth defect, female ‘circumcision’, intersex, trauma or other causes. Many of these deformities can be corrected surgically.
Vaginal creation is done to reconstruct a surgically removed vagina because of cancer, to create a vagina for children with congenital absence of the vagina or intersex, and to make a vagina for transsexuals. Various techniques are used depending on the defect and the selected type of reconstruction. The various techniques used include skin grafts, local flaps of tissue, and bowel.

Penis Enhancement
Penile enhancement procedures have been done for some years, but only by a small number of physicians due to professional prejudice and lack of public awareness of such operations. Lately, new developments in penile enlargement surgery have brought about interest.
Other procedures associated with advances in penile length and girth surgery include suprapubic lipectomy and liposuction, and elimination of penoscrotal junction webbing.

Penile Lengthening
The procedure involves releasing the penile suspensory ligament and the wearing of penile weights after the surgery. When the ligament is released, the penis is partially freed from its pubic bone attachments. Thus dropping the penis to a lower position creates the illusion of length gain.
Penile lengthening is a relatively minor procedure performed on an outpatient basis in a surgical centre. The discomfort is minor. The skin is closed carefully. Sutures are put just under the skin, which makes the final scar look less visible. The patient should avoid sexual activity and active sports for about a month.

Hidden Penis
A hidden penis is also known as a buried or concealed penis. The causes of buried penis may be various: obesity, aging with an overlying fold of abdominal fat and skin, or a shortage of penile skin from chronic inflammation or a too aggressive circumcision.
Some men are born with a fat pad which can partially conceal the penis. The lower abdomen and pubis skin sags with age, hiding the penis under the redundant skin and fat. Obesity makes the penis even more inconspicuous. A variety of procedures are possible to make the penis more sizeable.
The elimination of excess skin and fat on the lower abdomen and pubis involves excising the surplus fat and skin and lifting the pubic area. Thus, a more youthful appearance to the penis and genitalia is given. When fat only needs to be removed, liposuction or open surgical removal of the fat is carried out. The skin of the pubis is sutured down to the underlying abdominal tissue, which does not allow the penis be hidden in the pubic area. The skin at the base of the penis and scrotum is joined to the erectile bodies, keeping the penis from retracting into fat or into the scrotum.
The extent of the surgery depends on the degree of the deformity. The operation is normally performed as an outpatient. The penile and pubic appearance can be remarkably improved.

Penoscrotal Webbing
The scrotum in some men extends up the underside of the penis, creating an indistinct junction between the penis and scrotum. This penoscrotal webbing makes the penis look short on its undersurface. It can also cause discomfort during sexual intercourse or difficulty using a condom. The web may be present from birth or because of the removal of too much skin from a circumcision. The web is removed by rearranging the tissues at the penoscrotal junction leaving a zigzag cut. (Excision of the web by leaving a linear scar may result in tightening and worsening of the web). This procedure is not complicated and can be carried out under local anaesthesia.

Girth Enlargement
Girth enlargement procedure involves fat injection into the loose tissue under the skin or the insertion of strips or sheets of skin and fat (dermal fat grafts) beneath the skin.
